Nutrition

Dr. Baker firmly believes you are what you eat. Here are some rules to live by:

  • If God didn’t make it, don’t eat it.
  • Eat fresh foods. If it can’t rot, don’t eat it.
  • Look for foods with five ingredients or less.
  • If a food item has ingredients that a third grader can’t pronounce, don’t eat it.
  • Stay away from high fructose corn syrup, hydrogenateds oils and artificial sweeteners.
  • Non-fat foods often have increased sugar content to increase flavor. Rather than boost your insulin release, go for the full-fat, but just do it in moderation.
  • Speaking of moderation, that is the key. You don’t have to completely deprive yourself of the things you love to eat, just partake in the “bad stuff” in moderation.

  • Because the Standard American Diet (SAD) typically does not consist of the nutrients necessary for vitality, Dr. Baker often times encourages her patients to take supplements such as a high quality multivitamin, fish oil, Vitamin D, to name a few. Recommendations depend on the individual and their eating habits. Integra Chiropractic encourages the use of these fine products available in our office:
